Legislative District 20

Arizona Legislative District 20 is one of seven legislative districts in Southern Arizona and represents a geographically and culturally diverse region of Tucson. The district extends from the northern boundary of the San Xavier District of the Tohono O'odham Nation south of the city to the Rillito River on the north side. It includes many of Tucson's recognizable landmarks and neighborhoods, including historic barrios and districts, downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona, Sentinel Peak ("A" Mountain), three campuses of Pima Community College, the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe, two major shopping malls, Tucson Mountain Park, and the rural communities west of the Tucson Mountains.
The district reflects a rich blend of cultures, histories, and economic sectors. Residents include, but are not limited to, university students, working families, tribal members, small-business owners, retirees, and rural landowners. This diversity gives LD20 a unique voice in state government and makes it one of Arizona's most dynamic legislative districts. Like all Arizona Legislative districts, Legislative District 20 is represented in the Arizona Legislature by one state senator and two state representatives, who advocate for the district's interests.
